1-Year Comprehensive Warranty

Our Commitment to Quality

At KINDYMA, we engineer our e-bikes to the highest standards of quality and performance. Every component is rigorously tested to ensure reliability, durability, and an exceptional riding experience. Our 1-Year Comprehensive Warranty reflects our confidence in our products and our commitment to your complete satisfaction.

This warranty is our promise to stand behind every KINDYMA e-bike. Should any manufacturing defect arise during the warranty period, we are committed to resolving the issue promptly and professionally.

Warranty Coverage Period

Duration: 12 months (1 year) from the date of delivery

Effective Date: Warranty begins on the delivery date as confirmed by the shipping carrier

Eligibility: Original purchaser only; proof of purchase required

What Is Covered

Our warranty covers manufacturing defects and workmanship issues for the following components when purchased as part of a complete e-bike:

Frame and Fork: Structural defects, weld failures, alignment issues

Motor System: Hub motor or mid-drive motor malfunctions

Battery: Failure to charge, capacity degradation below 70% of original capacity

Display and Controller: Electronic malfunctions, display failures

Electronic Components: Wiring, sensors, connectors

Braking System: Brake levers, calipers, rotors (manufacturing defects only)

Drivetrain: Gears, derailleur, chain, cassette, crankset

Wheels and Tires: Manufacturing defects only

Suspension System: If equipped

Included Accessories: Lights, fenders, racks, baskets, pedals included with original purchase

What Is NOT Covered

The following items and circumstances are excluded from warranty coverage:

Separately Purchased Items: Accessories, frames, or parts purchased separately from the complete e-bike

Promotional Items: Free gifts, giveaway items, and promotional products

Normal Wear and Tear: Tire tread wear, brake pad wear, chain stretch, cable stretch, grip wear, saddle wear, cosmetic scratches

Misuse or Abuse: Crashes, accidents, exceeding weight capacity, unauthorized modifications, off-road use for non-off-road models

Lack of Maintenance: Rust, corrosion, damage from improper storage or failure to perform routine maintenance

Unauthorized Repairs: Repairs by non-authorized technicians, installation of third-party components, tampering with electrical systems

Unauthorized Purchases: E-bikes from unauthorized dealers, third-party sellers, or second-hand markets

Consumable Parts: Brake pads, tire tubes, light bulbs, lubricants

Battery Warranty Specifics

The battery is a critical component and is covered under specific conditions:

Covered

Battery failure to charge; capacity degradation below 70% of original capacity within warranty period; manufacturing defects in battery cells or Battery Management System (BMS)

Not Covered

Normal capacity degradation; damage from improper charging; use of non-KINDYMA chargers; physical damage; water damage; overcharging or deep discharge damage; storage at extreme temperatures

Warranty Claim Process

We have streamlined our warranty claim process to ensure quick and efficient resolution. Please follow these steps carefully:

Step 1: Contact Our Support Team

Timeline: Submit your claim as soon as you identify the issue

Required Information:

  • Order number and proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation)

  • Clear photos and/or videos showing the defect

  • Detailed description of the problem

  • Date when the issue first occurred

  • Approximate mileage/usage information

Step 2: Technical Assessment

Timeline: 2-3 business days after receiving your submission

Process: Our technical team will review all submitted materials and may contact you for additional information or remote troubleshooting steps

Outcome: You will receive a preliminary assessment indicating whether the issue appears to be covered under warranty

Step 3: Claim Authorization

Timeline: 1-2 business days after technical assessment

If Approved: You will receive a Warranty Authorization Number (WAN) and specific instructions for the resolution method

If Denied: You will receive a detailed explanation of why the claim does not qualify for warranty coverage, along with alternative repair options and cost estimates

Step 4: Resolution Execution

Timeline: 5-10 business days depending on resolution method

The specific resolution will depend on the nature and severity of the defect (see Resolution Options below)

Step 5: Confirmation and Follow-Up

Once the resolution is complete, you will receive confirmation and any applicable tracking information. Our team will follow up to ensure your satisfaction.

Resolution Options: Repair, Replacement, or Refund

KINDYMA will determine the most appropriate resolution based on the nature of the defect, part availability, and overall circumstances. The following options are available:

Option A: Replacement Parts (Most Common)

When Applied: For defective components that can be easily replaced (display, controller, brake components, electronic parts, accessories)

Process: We ship the replacement part directly to you with installation instructions; for complex components, we may arrange professional installation

Timeline: Parts shipped within 3-5 business days of claim approval

Defective Part Return: You may be required to return the defective part within 14 days using our prepaid shipping label

Option B: Professional Repair

When Applied: For issues requiring specialized technical expertise (motor system repairs, frame repairs, complex electrical issues)

Process: Repair at an authorized KINDYMA service center or partner bike shop; for mail-in service, we provide prepaid shipping labels

Timeline: 7-14 business days depending on repair complexity (excludes shipping time)

Temporary Solutions: For extended repairs, we may provide interim solutions when available

Option C: Full Unit Replacement

When Applied: For severe manufacturing defects affecting the frame integrity, multiple system failures, or when repair is not economically viable

Process: We ship a new e-bike (same model or equivalent if original is discontinued) and arrange return of the defective unit

Timeline: New unit shipped within 5-7 business days; standard delivery times apply

Condition: Defective e-bike must be returned in its current condition; failure to return may result in charges

Option D: Refund

When Applied: Only in exceptional circumstances where repair or replacement is not possible (e.g., model discontinued with no equivalent, repeated failures of same issue after multiple repair attempts)

Process: Full or partial refund to original payment method after return and inspection of the e-bike

Timeline: Refund processed within 7-10 business days after receiving and inspecting returned product

Refund Amount: May be prorated based on usage period and condition; deductions may apply for missing accessories or damage beyond the warranty issue

Shipping Costs and Responsibilities

Understanding who bears shipping costs is important. Here is our clear policy:

For Valid Warranty Claims

Replacement Parts Shipping: KINDYMA covers all shipping costs for sending replacement parts to you

Defective Part Return: KINDYMA provides a prepaid return shipping label

Mail-In Repair (Outbound): KINDYMA provides a prepaid shipping label for sending your e-bike or component to our service center

Mail-In Repair (Return): KINDYMA covers return shipping of repaired items

For Non-Warranty Issues

All Shipping Costs: Customer is responsible for all shipping costs (both outbound and return)

Shipping Estimates: We will provide shipping cost estimates before you commit to any non-warranty repair

For Claims Initially Submitted as Warranty but Denied

If Inspection Reveals Non-Warranty Issue: If you send an item for warranty service and our inspection determines the issue is not covered, you will be responsible for return shipping costs

Prior Notification: We will contact you before performing any non-warranty work to discuss options and costs

Packaging Requirements

When returning items, use original packaging if available. If not available, ensure adequate protection to prevent shipping damage. KINDYMA is not responsible for damage occurring during return shipment due to inadequate packaging.

Warranty Limitations and Conditions

Original Purchaser Only: This warranty is non-transferable and valid only for the original purchaser

Proof of Purchase: Valid receipt or order confirmation from KINDYMA or authorized dealer required

Replacement Part Warranty: Replacement parts are warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period or 90 days, whichever is longer

Geographic Coverage: This warranty applies to e-bikes purchased and used within Europe; service may be limited outside these regions

Inspection Rights: KINDYMA reserves the right to inspect any product claimed under warranty to verify the defect

Customer Responsibilities

To maintain your warranty coverage, please adhere to the following:

Product Registration: Register your e-bike within 30 days of purchase (if registration is available)

Regular Maintenance: Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual; keep chain lubricated, check tire pressure, inspect brakes, charge battery properly, store in dry conditions

Proper Charging: Use only KINDYMA-approved chargers; charge between 0°C - 40°C (32°F - 104°F); do not leave battery discharged for extended periods

Operate Within Specifications: Do not exceed maximum weight capacity; follow speed and terrain guidelines; use appropriate riding mode

Documentation: Retain purchase receipt, order confirmation, and any service records

  2. Mail-In Service (for components that can be shipped)

KINDYMA is not liable for any incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of our products. This warranty does not affect your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.
