Warranty policy

At KINDYMA, we stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of our e-bikes. All KINDYMA e-bikes come with a comprehensive warranty to protect your investment.

Warranty Coverage Period

1 Year (12 Months) from the date of delivery

What Is Covered

Our warranty covers manufacturing defects and workmanship issues for the following components when purchased as part of a complete e-bike:

Frame and Fork
Motor System (hub motor or mid-drive motor)
Battery (capacity degradation below 70% within warranty period)
Display and Controller
Electronic Components (wiring, sensors, connectors)
Braking System (brake levers, calipers, rotors)
Drivetrain (gears, derailleur, chain, cassette, crankset)
Wheels and Tires (manufacturing defects only)
Suspension System (if equipped)
Accessories Included with Original Purchase (lights, fenders, racks, baskets, pedals)

Important: This warranty applies only to e-bikes and accessories purchased together as a complete unit from KINDYMA or authorized dealers.

What Is NOT Covered

The following items are excluded from warranty coverage:

Separately Purchased Accessories
Any accessories purchased separately from the e-bike (including baskets, racks, lights, fenders, mirrors, phone holders, etc.) are not covered under warranty

Separately Purchased Frames
Frames purchased as standalone items are not covered under warranty

Gifts and Promotional Items
Free gifts, giveaway items, and promotional products are not covered under warranty

Normal Wear and Tear

  • Tire tread wear
  • Brake pad wear
  • Chain stretch
  • Cable stretch
  • Grip wear
  • Saddle wear
  • Paint scratches or cosmetic damage from normal use

Damage from Misuse or Abuse

  • Crashes, accidents, or collisions
  • Riding beyond the e-bike's specified weight capacity
  • Off-road use for models not designed for off-road riding
  • Modifications or alterations to the e-bike
  • Use of incompatible or third-party parts
  • Exposure to extreme conditions (submersion in water, extreme heat, etc.)

Lack of Maintenance

  • Rust or corrosion due to lack of care
  • Damage from improper storage
  • Failure to perform routine maintenance

Unauthorized Repairs or Modifications

  • Repairs performed by non-authorized technicians
  • Installation of third-party components
  • Modifications to electrical system or motor
  • Tampering with speed limiters or power settings

Products from Unauthorized Resellers
E-bikes purchased from unauthorized dealers, third-party sellers, or second-hand markets

Consumable Parts

  • Brake pads
  • Tire tubes
  • Light bulbs
  • Lubricants
  • Cleaning supplies

Battery Warranty Specifics

The battery is covered for manufacturing defects within the 1-year warranty period. Coverage includes:

  • Battery failure to charge
  • Battery capacity degradation below 70% of original capacity within the warranty period
  • Manufacturing defects in battery cells or battery management system (BMS)

Battery Warranty Exclusions:

  • Normal capacity degradation (batteries naturally lose capacity over time)
  • Damage from improper charging practices
  • Use of non-KINDYMA chargers
  • Physical damage to battery casing
  • Water damage or corrosion
  • Overcharging or deep discharge damage
  • Storage at extreme temperatures

How to Make a Warranty Claim

If you experience a warranty-covered issue, follow these steps:

Step 1: Contact Customer Service
Email us at support@kindyma.com with:

  • Your order number and proof of purchase
  • Photos or videos of the issue
  • Description of the problem
  • Date when the issue first occurred
  • Mileage/usage information

Step 2: Diagnosis
Our technical team will review your claim and may request additional information or troubleshooting steps

Step 3: Authorization
If your claim is approved, we will provide:

  • Return authorization (if product return is required)
  • Replacement parts shipping
  • Repair instructions
  • Prepaid return shipping label (for covered warranty claims)

Step 4: Resolution
Depending on the issue, we will:

  • Send replacement parts at no charge
  • Arrange for repair at an authorized service center
  • Replace the defective component
  • In rare cases, replace the entire e-bike

Processing Time: Warranty claims are typically processed within 5-10 business days after receiving all required information.

Warranty Limitations

  1. Original Purchaser Only
    This warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and is non-transferable
  2. Proof of Purchase Required
    You must provide a valid receipt or order confirmation from KINDYMA or an authorized dealer
  3. One-Time Replacement
    Replacement parts are warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period or 90 days, whichever is longer
  4. Geographic Limitations
    This warranty applies to e-bikes purchased and used within Europe. Service may be limited outside these regions
  5. Shipping Costs
  • For valid warranty claims: KINDYMA covers return shipping
  • For non-warranty issues: Customer is responsible for all shipping costs
  1. Inspection Rights
    KINDYMA reserves the right to inspect any product claimed under warranty to verify the defect

Customer Responsibilities

To maintain your warranty coverage:

Register Your E-Bike
Register your e-bike with KINDYMA within 30 days of purchase (if registration is available)

Perform Regular Maintenance
Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual:

  • Keep chain lubricated
  • Check tire pressure regularly
  • Inspect brakes before each ride
  • Keep battery charged properly
  • Store e-bike in dry conditions

Use Proper Charging Practices

  • Use only KINDYMA-approved chargers
  • Charge battery in temperatures between 0°C - 40°C (32°F - 104°F)
  • Do not leave battery discharged for extended periods

Operate Within Specifications

  • Do not exceed maximum weight capacity
  • Follow speed and terrain guidelines
  • Use appropriate riding mode for conditions

Keep Documentation
Retain your purchase receipt, order confirmation, and any service records
