Three parts are under warranty. Here is what that covers.
The frame, the motor and the battery — the three things that are expensive, that you cannot judge by looking, and that you would have to trust us about. Everything else on the bike is a wear part or an accessory and is not under this warranty.
A battery does not break — it fades, which is why a warranty on one is meaningless without a number. If a pack holds less than 70% of its rated capacity within its year, it is replaced. Above that it is wear, and wear is not a fault.
You can check it yourself, which is the point of printing it: charge it full, ride it empty on the same route, and compare the watt-hours the display reports against the figure on the pack. A threshold nobody can measure is a threshold only the seller can rule on.
| Part | Covered for | What “covered” means |
|---|---|---|
| Frame and fork | 2 years | Cracks and weld failure. Not paint, not corrosion from a winter of road salt, and not a crash. |
| Motor and drive unit | 1 year | It stops, it cuts out, or it will not hold its rated power. Rebuilt or replaced, and we pay the carriage both ways. |
| Battery pack | 1 year | Below 70% of rated capacity inside the year — see above. Also a cell failure, a dead BMS, or a connector that will not hold. |
Nothing else is under this warranty — not the controller, the display, the charger, the wiring, the lights, or any accessory, and not wear items like pads, tyres, chains, cables and bearings.
That is not the same as having no rights. EU law gives you two years on any part that was not in conformity with the contract when it was delivered, and no warranty on this page shortens it. If a display fails in month seven, write to us: it is a conformity claim rather than a warranty claim, and it goes to the same inbox and gets the same answer.
Every term runs from the delivery date, not from the day you registered, and it stays with the bike if you sell it — the cover is on the frame number, not on the buyer.
Opening the battery pack is the only thing that ends the cover. Everything else you may do yourself, including fitting parts that are not ours. It is a safety matter before it is a commercial one: a pack that has been opened cannot be certified for carriage, so it cannot be shipped, replaced or recycled through us either.
The warranty, in full
The clauses behind the table above. What it does not cover, what happens to a valid claim, and the rights this sits on top of.
Where the bike must have been bought
Only bikes bought on kimdyma.com. A Kimdyma bought anywhere else — a marketplace, a reseller, a social-media shop — is not covered by this warranty.
Plain-English summary. The wording below it is what applies.
Read the full clause
This warranty is given by Kimdyma only for goods bought directly from Kimdyma on kimdyma.com. It does not apply to goods bought from any other seller, including goods sold through online marketplaces, resellers or social-media shops, whether or not the goods were originally made for Kimdyma or carry the Kimdyma name. We cannot register, assess or repair those goods under this warranty.
A buyer of goods from another seller keeps the statutory rights they have against that seller, including the legal guarantee of conformity in the EU. Those claims are made to the seller who sold the goods, not to Kimdyma.
If you are not sure where your bike came from, send us the frame number and we will tell you whether we sold it. How to tell a genuine Kimdyma.
What is not under this warranty
Only the frame, the motor and the battery are. Everything else — electronics, accessories, and anything that wears out — is not, and nor is a crash.
Plain-English summary. The wording below it is what applies.

This warranty covers the frame and fork, the motor and drive unit, and the battery pack, on the terms set out above. It does not cover any other component, including the controller, display, wiring, charger, lights and accessories, and it does not cover wear items — brake pads and discs, tyres, tubes, chains, cassettes, cables, grips and bearings.
It does not cover damage from an accident, misuse, competition, commercial hire, modification, or maintenance carried out contrary to the instructions supplied; nor cosmetic corrosion or paint; nor water ingress caused by pressure washing or immersion.
It follows the bike, not the buyer
Sell the bike and the remaining cover goes with it. The claim is on the frame number.
Plain-English summary. The wording below it is what applies.

Cover is attached to the frame number and runs from the date of delivery of the original order. It transfers with the goods to a subsequent owner for the remainder of the term. Registration is not a condition of cover; it exists so that the frame number, the delivery date and the order are already on file when a claim is made.
What we do about a valid claim
Repair, replacement or refund — our choice, and we say which before anything moves.
Plain-English summary. The wording below it is what applies.

Where a claim is accepted we will, at our option, repair the goods, replace the affected part or the goods, or refund the price. We bear the cost of carriage in both directions and, where a partner workshop carries out the work, we pay the workshop directly. Labour on a warranty repair is covered as well as the part.
Your statutory rights are separate, and longer
Everything not on the list above still has two years of EU conformity rights, and nothing on this page shortens them. A display that fails in month seven is a claim — it is just not a warranty claim.
Plain-English summary. The wording below it is what applies.

This warranty is a voluntary commercial guarantee granted in addition to, and does not restrict or replace, the statutory rights of a consumer in respect of goods that are not in conformity with the contract. Those rights subsist for two years from delivery under EU law and apply to every part of the goods, including parts this warranty does not cover. A lack of conformity appearing within the first year is presumed to have existed at delivery.
Three steps, and you never pay to find out.
Do not open the pack, and do not let a workshop open it. It is the one action that ends the cover, and it also makes the pack impossible to ship back — which is the part that costs you a replacement rather than a repair.
Frame number, the day it was delivered, what was on the order and how long the cover runs. Open the garage and the claim starts with all of it filled in.
Two minutes now, nothing to find later.
Registration is not a condition of cover — the frame number is what matters and it is on your invoice either way. It just means nobody has to go and look for it on the head tube on the day something goes wrong.
